There is nothing like a stroll through a park or a few moments listening to the soothing sound of a bubbling fountain to help reduce the stress of a busy day.

For many condominium owners, this escape is as close as a hop down the elevator.

Although the growth of large condo projects in the inner city might look like an urban jungle is taking root, if you look a little closer you'll find private gardens, pathways, fountains, and gazebos cropping up in the most unexpected places.

Erlton is one of Calgary's smaller inner-city neighborhoods. Despite its small size, Erlton carries big pull for its inner-city setting.

From quintessential brownstones to eclectic turn-of-the century homes, the community of Erlton is a mixed bag of inner-city trendiness and high-end living.

Primarily an adult community, Erlton appeals to the modern professional. Erlton has a prime location near the Elbow River, its handy LRT access, as well as its walking distance proximity to both downtown and the pedestrian haven of 4th Street.

One of the major drawing points for the neighbourhood has been the Talisman Centre, a hub for fitness, training recreation and sports activities, Erlton residents enjoy convenient access to the center's pools, gymnasiums, tracks, weight rooms, drop in classes and personal training services.

For many residents, their weekday commute consists of a stroll along the river or weaving through the character streets of Mission into the downtown core.....
